Dermalogica x Plato Coffee Café: SPF & Coffee Activation

MOOD partnered with Dermalogica and local coffee favourite, Plato Coffee, to create an immersive, community-first experience designed to drive awareness around their new Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF and position it as an everyday essential. Recognising the rise of coffee-led experiences and the social power of café culture, we anchored the activation at Plato Coffee in Sea Point and brought together Cape Town’s most engaged fitness and lifestyle audiences for a morning of movement, coffee, and skincare.

With Run For Coffee and Running Late Club leading the charge, we hosted an exclusive run club event at Plato Coffee Sea Point, where 90+ attendees enjoyed a scenic morning run, a live DJ set, and the perfect post-run ritual: Dermalogica sun protection and Plato coffee. The activation was designed to spark organic content creation, engage key audience segments, and drive both digital and in-person brand impact.

Say hello to our client Dermalogica. MOOD hosted a luxurious morning celebrating the iconic clean-beauty brand with local creators.

The Meet Dermalogica brunch event brought consumers closer to the brand with experiential pamper stations and a skincare treasure hunt. Each station offered custom facial treatments highlighting the skincare specialist’s latest products including the Awaken Peptide Eye Gel and Biolumin C Serum.  

With an emphasis on loving the skin you're in, guests wrote positive affirmations to one another and left with a bag full of skincare, a personalised bouquet of flowers and a healthy skin glow.

Post-event, MOOD supplied each guest with a press pack including high-quality images of the morning, a 30-second reel and product stills. Through this, Dermalogica amplified their social media reach to 600,000 accounts via local creators on Instagram and Tik Tok.
