Better Sleep Retreat: A Community-Led Experience and Digital Campaign

When Phytoceutics briefed MOOD to bring their Better Sleep vision to life, we created a community-led campaign and immersive two-night retreat at Kokos Huis in Riebeeck Kasteel curated to bring together both creators and real customers.

As the launch platform for Phytoceutics Bettersleep, a liposomal complex formulated to support relaxation and restorative sleep, the experience combined education, rest, and sensory wellbeing in one setting. We invited 20 members from the brand’s creator community alongside two competition winners, ensuring customers were placed at the centre of the experience.

Across the weekend, wellness experts and partners like The Wellness Blend, Sana Wellness, and Le Riche Naturals hosted hands-on sessions in tea blending, sleep scent creation, and evening rituals, bringing key ingredients like L-theanine and GABA into lived experience. Kokos Huis completed the experience with nutrient-rich, restorative meals designed to support sleep and recovery.

MOOD led the end-to-end execution - from concept development and content creation to social storytelling, community management, and on-the-ground production - translating Phytoceutics’ science-led product into an emotional, shared wellness experience.

Balance and Bloom Women’s Month Event

When Phytoceutics wanted to mark Women’s Month with something meaningful, MOOD brought the vision to life through two bespoke events - one in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg - bringing together over 70 inspiring women in wellness, including doctors, dieticians, psychologists, and health experts. The Phytoceutics Balance and Bloom Women’s Month events were curated to celebrate hormonal wellness at every stage of life. Guests were welcomed with custom-made Blendid smoothies infused with Phytoceutics supplements, followed by a mindful flower pressing activity and a nutrient-rich breakfast served by Our Local (Cape Town) and Truffles on the Park (Johannesburg).

A highlight in both cities was an engaging panel discussion hosted by 2013 MasterChef winner Kamini Pather featuring Phytoceutics’ CEO, Laura Johnston, alongside a registered dietician and a hormonal wellness doctor. The conversation offered practical insights and relatable stories, sparking meaningful exchanges among guests. Each attendee left with a thoughtfully curated goodie bag featuring treats from Dermalogica, Smith House of Tea, and Nanuki Foods - extending the experience beyond the event.

From event concept development and guest list curation to on-site coordination and partner relationships, MOOD delivered the project end-to-end. The result was not only two flawlessly executed events but two memorable moments that reflected the heart of the Phytoceutics brand - inspiring and bringing together women in wellness to connect, learn, and celebrate themselves.
